Solar PV installation – residential retrofit, Jersey

Here's a look at a solar PV installation we've recently completed at a residential property here in Jersey. The job involved fitting 20 all-black panels across two roof aspects – a neat split that makes good use of the available roof space and helps the system generate consistently throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky.

The photos show the full installation sequence, from the aluminium mounting rails going in through to the finished panels sitting flush on the roof. The all-black finish looks sharp against the existing tiles and keeps everything looking clean and considered rather than bolted on as an afterthought.

We're still finishing off the plant room, and we'll post a follow-up with the full system spec – including the battery and controls – once that's complete.
